We recently re-released a fan favorite, Brickdust, our Red IPA. Read below for the background story!

Brickdust, Red IPA

The idea behind this beer was born in the spring of 2020, over two years before we opened the taproom doors to the public. We needed to expand the formerly exterior brick wall to make more space by the back entrance and restrooms. The best way to do this was to build a temporary wall to hold the ceiling up, saw through the bricks, and install a steel beam to hold the bricks above it.

The result was an insane amount of red brick dust flying through the air. With every door and window in the building open, it looked like smoke from a fire billowing out of the building. A passerby walked into the front door dust cloud and yelled if he should call the fire department. After several minutes the red brick dust settled, the beam was installed, and one of the more complicated projects of the taproom build out was complete. In the moment I told my cousin who was helping me that when we open the brewery we're going to make a Red IPA called Brickdust.

Thus, a beer was made.

Official Beer description below:

"This beer is a nod to the late nights, early mornings, and weekend work it took to complete the restoration at Rosko’s. Red like the color of the bricks, “Brickdust” has a malty backbone and floral, citrusy flavor and aroma. Bitterness cuts through the maltiness, giving way to a pleasant drinking experience"
