A Brotherly Collaboration: A Night at the Rosk-bury with John Ryan Brewery

When two brothers get together to collaborate on a beer, you know it’s going to be a good time! Rosko's Brew House and John Ryan Brewery got together to create a Pennsylvania Swankey Ale to sell at both taprooms. The PA Swankey is a historic and elusive beer style that has roots in Western Pennsylvania.
A Night at the Rosk-bury is a play on the 90's comedy film "A Night at the Roxbury" where two brothers try their hardest to get into popular nightclubs before aspiring to open their own. Rosko's and JRB created reels to reenact and entertain their followers.
The beer itself is a hit. It's different than most modern day beers. Spruced with molasses and star anise spices, the full body, semi-sweet yet light flavor has been well received.
Brewers Taylor Strein and William Wingfield were featured on Lew Bryson's "Seen Through a Glass" podcast, and Breweries in PA ran a featured story.
