Rosko's Celebrates USA Hockey Olympic Gold!

On Sunday, February 22nd, 2026, 46 years to the date of the last USA Hockey Olympic Gold Medal, the US men's team defeated Canada in overtime to win the gold. We made a bold promise on Saturday, the day before the game. If Canada won, we would mark Beer League, our Canadian-style Pilsener down to $5 a pint for the day. If the US won, we would mark down every beer to $5 a pint for the day!

We know this is a brewery page and a brewery blog, but this momentous occasions truly touched the hearts of so many Americans. The Rosko's community has a diverse set of interests, background, and demographics. And on this special day it felt like we were all united as Americans, cheering our team on to victory.

For me personally, I'm a huge hockey fan. Growing up in the US, ice hockey has always taken a backseat to more popular and accessible sports, such as football, basketball, and baseball. In Canada, hockey is life. USA Hockey has had its fair share of stars, but for the most part Canada (and some European/Asian countries at times) has dominated international play. Going into this game, however, the USA Hockey team had the best chance it's had in my lifetime. It played hard, despite being outmatched at times, and fought through to win gold.

It was awesome sharing this moment with so many friends & family, and on Sunday when the beers were on special, so many people came out to enjoy a day at Rosko's. I loved hearing stories from people who said they don't watch hockey, but watched this game and loved it. They also couldn't wait to see if the US won so they could enjoy some $5 pints with us! It was awesome when iconic US songs came on the speaker (such as God Bless the USA by Lee Greenwood) and folks at the taproom sang along in unison.

At the heart of every beer here at Rosko's, is a fun, community minded presence. We love Williamsport, PA, we love America, and we love sharing special moments with you over a cold beer.
