Regnitz & Main: A Beer Collaboration

Back in November, Rosko's brewer Taylor Strein headed west to visit our dear friends at Clarion River Brewing Company. Taylor and Clarion River brewer Devin Smith worked for several weeks on beer style, recipe formulation, logistics, and, of course, brewing and fermenting the beer. Both Taylor & Devin are alumni of the Penn College Brewing and Fermentation Sciences program, and mentored by the legendary Tim Yarrington of Elk Creek Cafe & Aleworks. Devin & Taylor decided to collab on a Helles-style Rauchbier, German for "smoke beer."

"Regnitz & Main" is named after the two rivers in Bamberg, Germany, that come together, much like the nature of this beer.

We are excited to announce that this beer is now on tap at Rosko's Brew House AND Clarion River Brewing Company
Rosko's: 601 Pine St, Williamsport PA. The corner of Sixth St & Pine.
Clarion: 600 Main St, Clarion PA. The corner of Sixth Ave & Main.
Full beer description below:
A collaborative effort between Clarion River Brewing Company & Rosko’s Brew House, this German-style smoked helles is brewed with beechwood smoked malt and German noble hops. It is bready, crisp, and smoky with floral and slightly spicy notes from hops. Regnitz and Main Rivers meet in Bamberg, Germany, the capital of smoked beers (rauchbier), and the confluence of two rivers embodies the collaborative nature of this beer.
