Crafted with reverence for the Czech tradition of lager brewing, this light and crushable lager was made with a starting specific gravity of 9 degrees Plato, and thusly was named the Czech word for “nine”. Our 100th batch of beer tells the story of where we started, where we’ve been, and where we’re going. Our first batch of beer (The First, Brown Ale) was intended to be an amber ale and turned out quite a bit darker than expected. Meanwhile, over time we have evolved into a high end lager brewery. So when it was time to revisit an original recipe, we added a twist of present day Rosko’s and created this amber lager. Smooth, lightly malty, with an “I’ll have another”-type of finish. It’s Evolution, Baby!

The First is a Rosko's Original and instant classic. This beer is an ode to our first commercial batch of beer. Unprecedented in many ways, this beer has remarkable drinkability, which is typically unexpected due to its darker-than-originally-intended color. Expect notes of caramel, chocolate, nuttiness, and biscuit while you enjoy a Rosko's classic.

Packed with flavor and malty from the jump, this is a no-holds-barred, classic English ESB. A beautifully balanced body of caramel and toasted bread is supported by ample bitterness and expressive herbal, woody and floral character from UK Fuggle hops. Pronounced stonefruit and apricot fermentative character rounds out a lovely pint from the first sip to the last.

BRRR: Polar Plunge is the fifth edition of our Cold IPA series. A lager-like grain bill and lager yeast fermentation ensures a crisp, refreshing drinking experience. Hopped with Achovy (hops, not the fish), and double dry hopped with the same, this beer presents a juicy fruit, white peach, & watermelon flavor with a respectably dry finish.

This beer is a nod to the late nights, early mornings, and weekend work it took to complete the restoration at Rosko’s. Red like the color of the bricks, “Brickdust” has a lightly malty backbone and floral, citrusy flavor and aroma. Soft bitterness cuts through the maltiness, giving way to a pleasant drinking experience.

Malt-focused, bold, robust, toasty and the perfect companion to a crisp fall or winter evening. This deep amber doppelbock has ample body and sweetness yet manages to never feel cloying. A ton of complex malt flavor (toast, caramel, walnut) packed into a single pint.
